Lastlings Enlist CRi and Paraleven for “Out of Touch” Remixes

Article by: Trevor Di Carlo

Claiming the spotlight today, Japanese-Australian duo Lastlings released the first official remix pack of “Out of Touch,” from their smashing hit of a debut album, First Contact. Enlisting the sound of ascending French-Canadian producer CRi, and the sensational Atlanta-native producer Paraleven. Both display their transdementional sounds to embody the emotionally charged lyrics of Lastlings’ lead vocalist Amy Dowdle. The “Out of Touch” Remix EP is out now through the combined efforts of Astralwerks Records, and RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue Records.

CRi takes a melodic approach to the remix, working in calm percussion and light strings to create an out of the body euphoric listening experience that elevates the original vocals. Paraleven takes a more house ended approach. Weaving an intricate network of aerated synths and energetic melodies to enhance the original “Out of Touch”
