TYPE3 Goes Vogue With His Latest Release “Real”

Article by: Jessica Duncan

If you haven’t heard of Las Vegas tech house producer TYPE3 yet, be sure to check out our article highlighting his musical journey so far.

TYPE3 is no stranger to Insomniac’s IN/ROTATION, having previously released three other tracks on the imprint since 2019. He’s back once again for his latest single “Real” which transports the listener back in time with early 90s rave influences. This is the second single he has released this year, after self-releasing his track “True” last month.

“Real” wastes no time setting the groove with a high-energy kick and hi-hat combo before changing up the vibe with some darker synth notes and vocals. The driving bassline lurks just below the surface, making it impossible for the listener not to dance. TYPE3 tries to pay homage to “Vogue style house but with Electro and Blog Haus elements thrown in to keep it interesting.” One of those elements is the synth wobble that comes in every 16th beat. All of these factors combine to make “Real” the perfect track for a dark warehouse or any after hours set.
