Where Ya At?! Guteren & Lizzy Jane

Written by: Sam Wolloch

Welcome to the new year #MoonLandingFam! After a week to connect with family and recover from a week of EDM festivities to see out 2019, I decided to check in with a few of our featured artists from last year to find out “Where Ya At?!”

Guteren: Back in August I wrote my first feature article about this aspiring artist from Indianapolis, armed with a loaded library of awesome melodic dubstep mashups, including “Save Me I’m Dreamin,” a Seven Lions x Adventure Club masterpiece the Canadian duo played in their Death or Glory tour.

Now I’m excited to share that Guteren is starting the year strong with his first single Withering, which he self-released Tuesday, January 7th. It starts with the enchanting sound of strings like a Lindsey Stirling song and winds along with future bass feels throughout the track. The amazing Amanda Thomas provides the captivating vocals on her debut feature and the lyrics leave me longing to rekindle conversations with distant friends. I for one, hope this is just the beginning of a big year for Guteren.

Lizzy Jane: Just last month I wrote my latest feature article about the talented Tampa artist, as she prepared to join Snails on his World of Slime tour in New York City and Florida. Lizzy Jane stayed busy, finishing the year in style with two more fresh releases and sold out performances alongside Adventure Club and Zeds Dead. The first release, “Blow Your Mind,” is a collab with SUB.STANCE on the Kannibalen Records compilation All I Want for Christmas is Bass Vol.4, and the second is a Lizzy Jane flip of “Radial,” a collab by ISOXO and Knock2.

Not to rest on her laurels, Lizzy Jane also featured a fresh release for Tuesday, January 7th, dropping a fierce 40-minute mix of edits, ID, and originals tracks for Volume 13 of GRL GANG RADIO. The full tracklist is just one of the many things you can find on the GRL GANG website.

Finally if festivals are your thing, you can catch Lizzy Jane in a month’s time at the Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival, taking place in Boca Raton, Florida on February 15th and 16th. With any luck, I’ll be on hand covering the heavy bass from Florida for the #MoonLandingFam, so get in touch with me @SamWolloch on the socials – you know where to find me!
