G Jones Pays Homage to the 303 with New Tune “A2C2I2D”

Article by: Sam Wolloch

This past Thursday, March 3, G Jones dropped his latest tune, “A2C2I2D,” the second single from his highly anticipated Acid Disk 2 EP. This latest solo release comes hot on the heels of his recent collab with Eprom “On My Mind.”

Interestingly, G Jones selected March 3 (3/03) to drop “A2C2I2D” out of respect to the Roland TB-303 Synth, the technology that helped spawn the acid house movement of the 1980’s in the hands of famed Chicago producer DJ Pierre. Of course, G Jones has developed and refined the acid house genre utilizing his masterful Ableton skills to create a unique sound all his own. G Jones cranks up the heat on “A2C2I2D” with eclectic breakbeats and distorted acid basslines.

This tasty second track continues to build the anticipation for the full Acid Disk 2 EP. And to top off the good news for G Jones fans, he also announced dates and support for his upcoming 2022 tour, IllusoryOS, an audiovisual “DJ Set” experience. Mr. Carmack will provide direct support at each of the concert dates, with varied regional support depending on the city. The tour also includes appearances at major festivals like Bonnaroo, Lightning in a Bottle, Forbidden Kingdom and Wham Bam! Check out the IllusoryOS Tour flyer for full details.
