SampliFire Unleashes ‘Ragnarok’ EP

Article by: Austin Childers

The end of an era is upon us, and Ragnarok is coming…

With the final installment of his ‘Viking Chapter’ run on Disciple Records, SampliFire returns with his 6th release, the Ragnarok EP. Comprised of four triumphant tracks, the French producer wraps up this era of Viking dubstep music production in fashionable style.

Samy Beyou, aka SampliFire, is known within the world of dubstep and riddim to possess intuitive sound design skills. Following his successful collaborations with Barely Alive, Ivory, and Akeos, SampliFire continues to bring the heat with this EP. Even though he may be finishing his Viking series, SampliFire remains full throttle on the gas pedal – there’s no stopping him.

SampliFire kicks off this EP with his signature collaboration “Ragnarok” featuring Kompany. Suspenseful builds, powerful drum kicks, and extraordinary drops can be found on this record; listeners you’ve been warned. He moves onto “Fenrir,” which translates to “little wolf.” This ravenous track carries a swift build throughout, followed by colossal drops that keep with a steady flow of bounce.

Remember, too much friction causes too much heat. SampliFire does just that, by delivering the heat caused by “Friction,” the EP’s third track. This tune taps into distorted frequencies and fierce dynamics that can keep an audience moving. SampliFire brings it home with the last song, “Hel.” Wavy synths, mind-melding beats, and robust bass drops are plentiful in this piece.

Although the Viking chapter has come to a conclusion, SampliFire is still one of the fastest-growing riddim artists in the scene. With this 6th EP release on Disciple Records, SampliFire will remain a leader within the dubstep and riddim realm. This EP shows that he can break the barriers of sound design by leading his listeners on a path which tells a victorious story.

Later this month, SampliFire will be hitting the road in Europe with legendary bass duo Dirtyphonics, and then will come to the US to play at Insomniac’s Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival.
